Born in 1964, Antonella is a set designer, visual artist, costume designer, technician, and teacher.
She has designed and created spaces, objects, props, and costumes for a wide range of theatrical events, covering touring performances for children and adults, site-specific events, parades, concerts, cabarets, and cultural barters. She has also designed and implemented art crafts for museums and art institutions, and taught a wide range of workshops for children and adults. She is a co-founder of Teatret Om, in Ringkøbing (Denmark), where she is the director of the Scenography LAB. Antonella’s work is a constant exploration of materials, effects, and interactivity.
Her performances and installations have been presented in most of Europe, as well as in New Zealand, Jordan, Dubai, Taiwan, India, California, New Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia. She studied set design at The Arts Academy of Rome, from which she graduated in 1988. Her further education took place at Odin Teatret and additional courses of graphic design and icon painting. In The Bridge of Winds, she works on designing and making the set, lights, costumes, props, and masks. She is a member of CXWTA (Chen Xiaowang World Taijiquan Association) in Italy, a school of Qigong and Taiji Chen Taijiquan, where she is a practitioner and 1st level teacher. She was born and raised in Italy and has been living in Denmark since 1996.
