The new year starts with our first Newsletter!
First – a summary of 2018:
The Ghent Meeting.
In January 2018, we were invited to Ghent, Belgium, for our annual meeting, organized by Adriana La Selva in collaboration with Ghent University.
We stayed at a beautiful old hostel in the historic part of the city, with a view over St. Michael’s Bridge (a bridge – quite appropriate!).
In Ghent, we worked on “FREAKS”, directed by Iben Nagel Rasmussen, and performed it for the people in the city. Our concert Voices in the Wind was performed several times and used in the context of barters.
We also held four workshops with participants from different parts of the world and had a great Final Barter.
The University of Ghent arranged a Book Launch of the English version of The Blind Horse, dialogues with Eugenio Barba and other writings, by Iben Nagel Rasmussen.

2018 was also the year of our website launch. A presentation of who we are, our activities, workshops and performances around the world, and the latest news about the group. The site has journals and articles written by Iben Nagel Rasmussen, and members of the group. It is still a work in progress, and we will continuously be adding information about our history and upcoming events.

UR-NAT festival and the 2019 Ringkøbing meeting.
So what does the future have in store for The Bridge of Winds?
2019 marks our 30^th. anniversary.
It falls on the same year as the 30^th. anniversary of Teatret OM, founded by two of our members, Sandra Pasini and Antonella Diana, and based in Ringkøbing, in western Jutland, where our next meeting is going to take place in August, in conjunction with the UR-NAT festival.
The program is still in the planning, but once it is finished, we will add it to our website for you to read.
