SUMMER IS HERE.

🌞Summer is here!🌞⠀

Dear friends of The Winds!⠀

2020 has been a challenging year for everyone so far – but we have stayed strong and pulled trough. 💪💪🏻💪🏼💪🏽💪🏾💪🏿
Performances and events (and meetings! 😢) has been postposted or cancelled, and the entire world suddenly felt like a place of closed doors, closed borders and divided people. ⠀

But art always rise above everything! Around the world artists have found new ways of expressing themselfs, new medias and new languages to reach out – even when we couldn’t touch anyone!⠀

For the first time in 30 years, we could not meet up, 💔 and we do miss each other. Luckily, some of the more technical winds have been inviting to zoom-winds-meetings and we all came together to do a video for our Maestra for her 75 year birthday, filmed from everyones homelands. ⠀

For many it is now time for summer holidays, for sun 🌞, laughs😄, ice cream 🍦, songs 🎶 and joy 💓– and maybe even good company, in the ways the crazy world allows us too! ⠀

In Denmark 🇩🇰, the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere is celebrated on June 23 – the Sank Hans Aften, or Saint Johns evening. ⠀
At Iben Nagel Rasmussens house, it is always celebrated with a feast of friends, family, neighbours and colleges eating, singing and dancing together, and in the end, the tradition calls for a troll-doll to be burned at the bonfire, to symbolise warding off all evil. 👹🔥

This crazy year there was a safe singing distance, food brought from home, and instead of dancing they had a little more wine 🍷😛 – And as for the troll – this year its was a very special one 🦠 – and as the flames rose, the guests wished for him to fly far, far away and never come back! ⠀

We wish all our friends and family around the world, a happy and safe summer!⠀
See you again in august! 😘

♥️Love & Light⭐️
